Dawn joined J Murphy and Sons Ltd (Murphy) in January 2020 as Group Director of People, overseeing the People strategy and activities for all of Murphy operations across the UK, Ireland and Canada. Dawn has over 25 years of HR experience and prior to Murphy, held a number of senior HR roles in a variety of sectors including Construction and Manufacturing. Dawn has received numerous awards over the last 5 years for her work on culture change, people strategy, learning and development and diversity and inclusion in the Construction sector and in 2019, was voted HR Director of the Year (EMEA) by the global HR professional body HRO Today.
Dawn is regularly asked to speak at events and contribute articles to a variety of publications to share her extensive experience. A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), Dawn holds a Master’s Degree in HR Management and a postgraduate qualification in employment law. She is also an experienced non-executive director, having held roles in the public, private and third sectors.
Outside of work Dawn enjoys time with her two young daughters, age 7 and 5.
